On its effort to improve health care services delivery at grassroot level among the people in the area especially those living at rural areas,Kaugama Local Government has Inaugurated fifteen member Committee on Jigawa Health Care for all in compliance with the directives of the Governor to ensure that every citizen in Jigawa has access to quality health care services across all the local government Councils in the State.
The Danmodi led administration initiated the program aimed to supporting less privilege , those with serious health problem that need urgent support .
The initiative which was prepared and implemented by the Jigawa Health Equity Fund ( J-HEF) is to be fully implemented at all the local Government Councils to support people with free Health Care Services.
During the inauguration of the Committee which comprises of
the Council Chairman as Chairman of the committee,Special Adviser to Governor on Health monitoring as vice Chairman, Primary Health Care Coordinator (PHCC) as the secretary of the committee.
while others served as members which consisted of Traditional Title Holders , Religious Leaders, Security Personnel representative, Women representative, Civil Societies and others will be responsible for identification , selection and registration of the beneficiaries in a statement issued by the Local Government Information Officer Alhaji Musa Muhammad sent to thetentaclesnews.com.ng
The Secretary of the Committee and Primary Health Care Coordinator,Abdu Aliyu Karkarna, appealed to the members of the Committee to work hard for the realization of the set objectives.
Karkarna expressed gratitude to the Governor Umar Namadi for prioritizing Health Sector which is key to human survival and development.
He equally thumb up the Council Chairman for following the footsteps of the State Governor in making Health Sector a top priority in his administration in Kaugama Local Government Area.
Those expected to enjoy the Program are:- people living with Hiv , Persons with sickle cell diseases. Pregnant Women, People with Disabilities , Children under 5 years , elderly people and vulnerable group.
While inaugurating the committee , the Council Chairman Usman masaki Dansule urged the members of the committee to be honest and sincere while discharging their duties .
He further assured them of maximum support and cooperation to ensure quality service and effective Heath Care delivery which is one of the key 12- points Agenda of Governor Umar Namadi administration.
