The Parents Teachers Association of PTA of GTC-1 Dambatta saluted Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on ground breaking in the Education Sector.Government Technical College One Dambatta has expressed deep satisfaction with stylistics administration approaches of the State Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf in repositioning Kano to greater heights.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Association Alhaji Nasiru Ali Dan Hajiya while inspecting the ongoing general renovations in the College by the State Government.
Nasiru Ali revealed that considering the magnitude of the renovations and the huge amount sunk in the College it has become highly imperative to thumbs up the Governor in this direction.
The Chairman further stressed that from the inception of the incumbent administration today it has placed high priority on the Education Sector and even declared State of Emergency with a view to salvage the sector from total collapse.
Nasiru Ali Dan Hajiya similarly pointed out that to match words with actions the State government accorded lion share to Education Sector in this year’s budget considering the exceptional roles of Education in Societal transformations,
The Chairman similarly revealed that the Executive of the Association unanimously agreed to name one of the Students Hostels after the Executive Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf in appreciation to his utmost concern for the betterment of the people in the State.
He called on the Management Staff and other personnel to make the best use of the College facilities highlighting that safe guarding public properties is a collective responsibility by all stakeholders.
Nasiru Ali Dan Hajiya cautioned the Students to make the best use of the renovated facilities to make it last long, saying that there are many Colleges that are in need of such interventions as such judicious management must be adhered to.
While conducting the Association round, the representative of the Contractor, Alhassan Muhammad Muhammad said the contract is of high quality highlighting that the works is being done in accordance with the Bill of Quantity agreed between the Government and the Contractor.
Alhassan Muhammad Muhammad assured the government of high standards products being used while executing the contract.
He thanks the Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Commissioner of Education alongside the Executive Secretary of Science and Technical Schools Board for giving the Contractor the opportunity to contribute towards education development in the State.
The ongoing renovations include renovations of Students Hostels, Administrative blocks,Mosque, Kitchen, Classrooms block, Security Office and General School fencing for optimum security among others.
When completed the renovations would address series of problems that the College is facing especially Classrooms congestion,lack of Security in the College and would provide a conducive atmosphere for teaching/learning environments in the College.
The College was known for its breakthrough in academic Excellence in the State
