Waiya Visits ARTV over Fire Incident, Assures Government Support

The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has paid a sympathy visit to the management and staff of Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) following unfortunate fire outbreak that occurred in one of the station’s studios earlier on Tuesday

Comrade Waiya, who visited as the Supervising Commissioner of the state-owned television station, said the visit was to physically assess the level of damaged and extend heartfelt sympathy to the affected management and staff as hinted by the Director Special Duties Sani Abba Yola and sent to thetentaclesnews.com.ng

He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah that despite the loss of valuable property, no life was lost and no one sustained any injury.

“On behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, I wish to convey our deepest sympathy to the management and staff of ARTV over this unfortunate incident,” the Commissioner said, assuring that the government will stand by the station during this trying period.

Comrade Waiya further directed the management of ARTV to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the damage and submit report to enable prompt government intervention and restoration efforts.

He was accompanied during the visit by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, AVM Ibrahim Umar (Rtd), the Managing Director of ARTV, Hajiya Hauwa Isah Ibrahim, and the Executive Secretary, Kano State Censorship Board, Alhaji Abba Al-Mustapha, among other officials.

Comrade Waiya reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf towards ensuring the continuous growth and stability of state-owned media organizations in the discharge of their public service mandates.
