A Federal High Court sitting in Kano on Wednesday refused to grant an ex parte order to restrain the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission from arresting Hassan Bello, Abubakar Bawuro Sahabo and Adamu Aliyu Sanda over the investigation of equity ownership of Dala Inland Dry Port.
The court presided by Justice Simon Amobeda declined the prayers of the trio for the first respondent in the suit, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption and the second respondent, the State Attorney General, to maintain the status quo and stay all actions in respect of the matter pending the hearing and determination of the substantive matter for the enforcement of the applicants’ fundamental rights.
The judge ordered that the respondents be put on notice to show cause why these prayers should not be granted at the hearing of the substantive suit.
Justice Amobeda also ordered that the processes of the court should be served on the respondents before the next adjourned date.
The matter was later adjourned till October 28th, 2025.
