BAUCHI POLICE BURSTS RITUALIST SYNDICATE WHO PLUCKED THE EYES OF HIS SISTER IN SORO, GANJUWA LGA

Police in Bauchi State Command have arrested one Auwalu Dahiru aged 17 years of Bayan Dutse Village,Wailo,Kubi Ward of Ganjuwa local government area suspected to be a ritualist, who attempted to pluck the eye of on minor Rukayya Muhammad aged 7 years.

This follows a complaint by the father of the Girl one Muhammad Adamu of the same location reported to Soro Division that the above mentioned suspect attacked his daughter with intention of killing her to pluck out her eyes.

Police detectives from Soro Division led by the Divisional Police Officer immediately were to the scene and arrested the suspect (Incidentally a Brother to the victim) and subsequently rushed the victim to Abubakar Tafaea Balewa Teaching Hospital Bauchi for Medical treatments

The suspects arrested in connection with the crime are;-

  1. Auwal Dahiru ‘m’, aged 17 years, of Bayan Dutse, Wailo, Kubi Ward, Ganjuwa LGA
  2. Mohammed Rabiu ‘m’, aged 19 years
  3. Saleh Ibrahim ‘m’, aged 20 years
  4. Nasiru Muhammad ‘m’ of Soro town Ganjuwa LGA,
  5. Hassan Garba ‘m’ of Soro town, Ganjuwa LGA, Bauchi State.
  6. Garba Dahiru ‘m’ aged 43yrd of Soro town.

Preliminary investigation’s findings exposed that a 7-year-old girl, Rukayya Muhammad, tragically lost her eyesight permanently after her elder brother, Auwalu Muhammad, removed both of her eyes for a money ritual in a desperate attempt to gain wealth.

The incident occurred in Wailo town, located in the Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State in a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Command Ahmad Mohammed Wakili sent to thetentaclesnews.com.ng

The victim’s father was interviewed, who disclosed that the suspect (Auwalu) lured his sister, who shared the same parents, into the nearby bush, where he brutally attacked her and forcefully plucked her eyes.

Unfortunately, a medical doctor (eye specialist) at the hospital confirmed that the young girl will never regain her vision for the rest of her life.

During interrogation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime as Investigation into the matter is ongoing to uncover the motive behind their heinous act and to bring all individuals connected to justice.

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Bauchi, for a discreet, professional, and diligent investigation.
