Kano State Shari’a Commission strengthens ties with Ministry of Justice

The Kano State Shari’ah Commission has expressed its readiness to establish a more closing working relationship with the Kano State Ministry of Justice through playing an advisory roles in the move of the ministry to amend some obsolete laws to further make them in conformity with the religion, culture, and the modern society.

The Chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Abbas Abubakar Daneji stated this while leding the Management of the Commission on a synergy visit to the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi In his office as hinted by the Spokeperson of the Commission Ibrahim Afo Sabari and made available to thetentaclesnews.com.ng

Malam Abbas Abubakar Daneji told the Commissioner that the Commission under his leadership and his Deputies Gwani Hadi Tahir and Sheikh Ali Dan Abba who are Commissioner I and Ii respectively embarked on this societal rescue mission with the aim of giving contribution to peace, harmony, and decency reviving which he said realizing the fact that they have their on limitations made them to solicit the support of other stakeholders like Judiciary and Law Enforcement Agencies.

The Chairman of the Shari’ah Commission said they were ever ready to receive guide and advice from the Ministry of Justice, and anticipating that the meeting will open door for information and knowledge sharing between the Ministry and Shari’ah commission.

In response the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Kano State Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi appreciated the visit which he optimized that it will change the narration in manning the affairs of the Shari:ah Commission the Agency he described as the one that has a stake in all parcel of our lives, and lauded the State Governor for appointing a right people to head it.

Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi pledged to give all necessary support to the work of the commission such as in the area of information sharing, facilitating the partnership between the commission and the Department of Citizens Right of the Ministry, and posting of his staff to the agency to serve as the legal Adviser.
