The National Coordinator of the organization, Alh, Ibrahim Muhammad, said the choice of the awardee was based on the Governor’s outstanding performance among his peers. He noted that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made special arrangements that gave Kano pilgrims unique consideration during the recent Hajj exercise.
In his remarks at the occasion, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was represented by the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, thanked the organizers for recognizing the efforts of the State Governor and expressed gratitude for the honor.Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa reiterated the Governor’s commitments to continue supporting Kano pilgrims in future Hajj operations.
In the same vein, the Award of the Most Disciplined State and Officials was presented to the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board. Receiving the award on behalf of the Board, the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Muhammad Ghali Muhammad, expressed appreciation and urged officials of the Board to redouble efforts with a view to sustain the record.
