Ahead of the Anambra State Governorship Election slated for November 8, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu,on his efforts to engages critical stakeholders has intensified non-kenetic approach to peace buildings by engaging key religious leaders and other influencers as he received Prophet Chukwumeka Ohanaemere in his office today

The Commissioner’s initiative platforms were to promote peace, unity, and patriotism across the State in a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Command TOCHUKWU IKENGA and made available to thetentaclesnews.com.ng
The CP made this call today 23rd October 2025, while welcoming the founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje) Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu reiterated that the Police under his stewardship would continue to engages different segments of the Society to ensure hitch free and credible electoral processes, emphasizing that leaders has a critical role to play in guiding their followers towards peaceful conduct of the election especially in hightened political environment
Orutugu further enjoined the clergy and other faith organizations to identify with Police by enlightening their congregationson the importance of peaceful participation, respect of Law and Order before, during and after the election.
In his remarks, Prophet Chukwumeka Ohanaemere commended the Commissioner of Police for his initiatives and foresight and as well expressed gratitude to the Command for its open door policy.
He then prayed for divine protection and wisdom for the leaders, Officers and men of the Command,while assuring the Commissioner of his continuous prayers and support towards achieving a peace election in NdiAnambra.

While welcoming the Prophet, CP Orutugu reiterated that the Police, under his leadership, will continue to engage all segments of society to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process. He emphasized that leaders, especially those with moral and social influence, have a duty to guide their followers toward peace, lawful conduct, and love for the nation, particularly in times of heightened political activity. The CP further enjoined the clergy and faith-based organizations to partner with the Police in enlightening their congregations on the importance of peaceful participation and respect for law and order during the election period.
