Deputy Senate President Mourns Passing of Kano Business Icon, Alhaji Aminu Dantata

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of prominent Kano-based business magnate and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 94.

In a statement issued by his media office, Senator Barau described the late Dantata as a pillar of economic development, philanthropy, and community leadership whose contributions left a lasting impact on Kano State and Nigeria at large.

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata was more than just a businessman. He was a symbol of integrity, humility, and generosity. His life was defined by service to humanity, enterprise, and commitment to the growth of his community and country,” Barau said.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the Dantata family, the Kano Emirate, and the entire people of Kano State, praying that Allah grants the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus.

Barau also noted that the late Dantata’s legacy would continue to inspire generations, particularly in the areas of business excellence, philanthropy, and moral leadership.
