On Monday, 15th September 2025, the Governing Council members and Management staff of Federal Polytechnic Daura paid courtesy and condolence visits to the Governor of Katsina State and the Emirs of Katsina and Daura Emirates.
The delegation led by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Nagwari, accompanied by the Rector, Dr. Musa Gambo K.K, members of the council and management Staff of the Polytechnic.
The purpose of the visits are:-
- To appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, for redeeming his pledge of ₦500,000 each to the 14 best graduating students during the last convocation of the Polytechnic.
- To extend condolences to the Governor over the demise of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and to sympathize with him on the accident involving himself, his Chief of Staff, and other officials along the Katsina–Daura road.
- Appeal to the Governor for the redemption of his earlier pledge of Construction of Students Clinic.
The delegation also paid a condolence visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, CFR, over the demise of his daughter and the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
Similarly, the council members and management visited His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji (Dr.) Umar Faruk Umar, CON, at his residence in Daura to condole him on the passing of the former President Muhammad Buhari.
The condolence visits concluded at the residence of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, where the delegation offered prayers to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala at his graveside.
