Governor Yusuf’s Compassion to Civil Servants

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs Chapel has applauded the generosity and compassion of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf extended to one of its members, Usman Iliyasu Dankwano, a Chief Photographer attached to Kano Government House.

The governor at the commencement of 29th Kano State Executive Council meeting yesterday gave an executive order to the Head of Service and Commissioner of Information to with immediate effect elevate Usman Iliyasu
Dankwano to a higher grade in recognition of his dedication, enthusiasm and years of service.

In a statement signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Musbahu Aminu Yakasai and its Secretary, Sani Surajo Abubakar, described the gesture as a testament to the governor’s commitment to rewarding merit and recognizing the contributions of hardworking civil servants.

The statement added that the move underscores Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration commitment to recognizing and rewarding merit and long-standing services.

The Chapel called on the Head of Service and the Commissioner of Information to expediate actions to ensure compliance and full implementation of the executive order.

Dankwano has been serving the Kano State Government House as Photographer since 1999 rising steadily to the position of Chief Photographer capturing pivotal moments in the state’s history and providing invaluable visual documentation of the government’s activities.

The Chapel also congratulates Usman Iliyasu Dankwano on the well-deserved recognition and looks forward to his continued serving the public judiciously
