The breakthroughs are as follows;-
ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR THEFT OF THREE SHEEP:
On 07/10/2025, following concerted efforts of Police operatives attached to Yalwawa Division, in collaboration with local vigilante group Yanbula, one Yahuza Ibrahim ‘m’ age 20yrs of Sabuwar Dubeni Settlement, Dutse LGA, was arrested in possession of three sheep suspected to be stolen. During investigation, the suspect confessed to having trespassed into the residence of one individual from Kondi Settlement, Kiyawa LGA, where he stole the said sheep. The suspect was charged to court.
ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR THEFT AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN GADGETS: On 09/10/2025 at about 0025hrs, while on routine foot patrol, the patrol team attached to Yalwawa Division arrested one Umar Muazu ‘m’ age 23yrs of Atunit Quarters, Yola, Adamawa State, in possession of two (2) iPhones, three (3) Android phones, one Toshiba laptop, a charger, a laptop bag, and a sachet of Hypnox drug.
On investigation, the suspect confessed to having stolen the items outside an examination hall at the Federal University Dutse, while students were writing their examinations. The Command is working closely with the University Chief Security Officer (C.S.O) to identify and return the recovered items to their rightful owners.
ARREST OF SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF TWO STOLEN COWS: On 12/10/2025 at about 2000hrs, acting on credible intelligence, a patrol team attached to Maigatari Division intercepted a J5 vehicle with registration number KSF 820 XE at Matoya Village, conveying two cows suspected to be stolen. The driver, Abubakar Mohammed `m’ age 29yrs of Ubandawa Village, Gumel LGA, was arrested, while two other occupants; Murtala Mohammed and Bako Abdulkadir, both of the same address fled into the bush and escaped. Upon interrogation, the driver confessed to have stolen the cows from Molori Village.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
ARREST OF CATTLE RUSTLERS AND RECOVERY OF TWO STOLEN BULLS: In a related development, Police operatives attached to Yalleman Division, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted and arrested suspected cattle rustlers at Kwanar Kaugama on 12/10/2025 at about 1530hrs.
The arrested suspects are: Shuaibu Umar ‘m’ age 45yrs of Gizo Settlement Camp, and Abdullahi Usman ‘m’ age 50yrs of Asayaya Daguzo, both of Sule Tankarkar LGA. Case under investigation.
