As one of the attendees at the inauguration of Africa Colloquium Against human trafficking which was held in Lagos State, where the colloquium provides a vital platform for collaboration among African and international partners committed to eradicating human trafficking and related abuses,the Commissioner backs the both theme,the content and the decision taken at the Colloquium to address the issues of human trafficking and ritual abuses.
As this year’s Themed “A United Front Against Ritual Abuse and Sacrifice,” the event convenes delegates from Pepperdine University, California (USA), alongside policymakers, legal advocates including the Commissioner of Justice from Kano State Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude SAN, and experts from across Africa counties to strengthen collective resolve in combating human trafficking and ritual abuse in a statement made available to thetentaclesnews com.ng by the Spokesperson of the State Ministry of Justice,Kano, Najib Lawan Dambazau
Maude commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to justice, human dignity, and protection of the vulnerable.
He noted that the policies of the present administration in Kano State have continued to prioritize the rule of law, social justice, and human rights, aligning perfectly with the objectives of the ongoing colloquium.
He further highlighted that ” We in Kano our Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains solidly focused on ensuring that Kano State becomes a role model for humane governance, where every citizen—especially women and children—can live free of fear, exploitation, and abuse.”
Maude also applauded the Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for hosting and championing this timely initiative.
Where he described the colloquium as a testament to Lagos State’s proactive stance in fostering regional collaboration and cross-border partnerships aimed at ending human trafficking and ritual exploitation in Africa.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting efforts that protect victims, promote human dignity, and ensure justice for all, in line with the vision and values of the Kano State Government under the dynamic leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
