The Kano State Police Command extends its commendation to the residents of Kano State for their exemplary display of peace, unity, and orderliness during the recently concluded Maukibi Celebration.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, expresses heartfelt appreciation to the residents, community leaders, and stakeholders for their collective efforts in fostering harmony and mutual cooperation.
The success of this year’s celebration underscores the Command’s proactive strategies and its community-focused approach to policing.
The peaceful conduct of the event is also a testament to the Command’s commitment to community engagement, intelligence-driven operations, and technology-enhanced policing, in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
The Command further acknowledges the vital contributions of other security agencies, religious and community leaders, vigilante groups, and other stakeholders in ensuring peace and stability across the State.
However, during the Maukibi period, clearance operations conducted by the Command led to the arrest of 21 suspects who attempted to disrupt the event as dangerous weapons and illicit drugs were recovered from the suspects, ensuring the safety and security of the celebration.
