Ministry of Humanitarian Strengthens Partnership with Federal Agency on Social Investment Programs in Kano

On the efforts of the State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alliveation an Interactive session was held at the Conference Hall of the Ministry between the National Program Manager of the Home grown School feeding program Madam Aderemi F.Adebowale of the Federal government and the State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alliveation to foster synergy of service and to further strengthen the partnership at the Conference Room of the State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

The session discussed extensively and National program Manager stated that the program would kick start with Primary One to Primary Three Pupils and the Program would be lunched in Kano with selected Six Primary Schools within the State

Princess Aderemi Adebowale appealed to major Stakeholders especially Philanthropists and Market Associations to support the program by providing breakfast for the Pupils

The National Program Manager further revealed the success part of the Program in Jere,Kaduna State,Taraba and Federal Capital which prompted its expansion to Kano State

The session agreed on the following six selected Primary Schools;- Dawakin Tofa Special Primary School,Nomadic School Dawakin Tofa,Tumfafi Special Primary School,Kofar Nassarawa Model Primary School and Sumaila Special Primary School.

Currently the program is being supported by Dawanau International Grains Market,Alhaji Sabi’u Bako, and Bilkisu B, owner of Meenat Event Center as the program would benefit over seven thousand Pupils of Primary Schools in the State.

During the season it was concluded that the program would be flagged off at Sumaila Special Primary School where Pupils would be issued with writing materials and schools bags as it would cover working days from Monday to Friday by providing well balanced diets to the Pupils of the selected Schools.

Among the delegations that attended the session includes;-Hamza Baba, National Program Manager of the Government Enterprises and Emporwanment Program ( GEEP) and representative of the Home Grown School Feeding Chairman,Alhaji Umar Sani Marshall,Malam Jamilu Shayi and Malam Zakari where among the entourage that paid the courtesy call to the Commissioner of the Humanitarian and Poverty Alliveation Ministry for the fine-tuning the program in a statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment Halima Sani Gadanya which was made available to thetentaclesnews.com.ng

Princess Aderemi urged the State government to support the program for the accomplishments of the said objectives

While responding Commissioner Adamu Aliyu Kibiya thanks the Federal government through the Program Manager Princess Aderemi Adebowale for choosing Kano in the Program and pledged to brief the State Governor for prompt action and support to the Program

While delivering votes of thanks,the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Hajiya Amina Yusuf ‘Yar Gaya expressed gratitude to the Program Manager and assured her of the Ministry’s readiness to support the program and ensure its success.
