NNPP Bars Kwankwaso from Running in 2027 Presidential Election On It’s Platform

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has firmly stated that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, its 2023 presidential candidate, is no longer affiliated with the party and cannot use its platform for any political ambitions in the 2027 elections.

NNPP National Chairman Dr. Agbo Major emphasized that both Kwankwaso and his ally Buba Galadima were expelled from the party due to anti-party activities and attempts to hijack its leadership.

The party’s memorandum of understanding with the Kwankwasiyya Movement, led by Kwankwaso, ended shortly after the 2023 elections. Dr. Major criticized Kwankwaso for causing internal conflicts, unauthorized changes to the party’s logo, and leading the NNPP into unnecessary legal battles.

He asserted that Kwankwaso lacks the credibility to challenge President Tinubu and advised him to pursue his political ambitions independently, without involving the NNPP.

The party is open to new aspirants for the 2027 elections but insists on a transparent and constitutional selection process.
