NOA Flags Off Nationwide Enlightenment Campaign on Five Thematic Areas

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has officially flagged off a nationwide enlightenment campaign at Farm Center, Kano State, aimed at deepening public awareness on government programmes and strengthening civic responsibility.

Representing the Director-General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Director of Legal Services, Barrister Williams Dogo, said the exercise will focus on five thematic areas which directly affect the lives of Nigerians.

“This campaign is about creating awareness and ensuring that Nigerians understand government policies, their rights, and responsibilities as citizens. We want every community to be carried along.” Dogo Said.

The five thematic areas highlighted are:
1 – Government Policies, Programmes and Activities

2 – Flood Mitigation

3 – National Security Awareness Towards Achieving Improved Security Consciousness in Our Communities

4 – National Values Re-orientation for Students and Youths Against Extreme Practices

5 – The Nigerian Identity Project and National Symbols

Dogo explained that the sensitization will be carried out across the 36 states, FCT, and 774 local government areas through town hall meetings, school visits, advocacy engagements with traditional and religious leaders, as well as motor park rallies.
