Arrest and Handing over to the NDLEA of a Suspected Marijuana (Wiwi) Dealer
Gentlemen of the press, we welcome you to the state headquarters of the Nigeria Security and civil defence corps, Kano State command.
You are invited here today in order to brief you over the recent milestone achieved by the Corps in its persistent efforts of ridding Kano out of criminally minded elements.
On Tuesday 7th October, 2025, at about 02030hrs operatives of the NSCDC, Doguwa division acting on credible intelligence intercepted on motorbike and apprehended one notorious Indian helm (Wiwi) dealer, Yusuf Alasan, 25years, resident of Doguwa town along with two (2) other adults, Muktar Musa and Musa Sani. They were carrying three (3) sacks (sugar size sack) filled with marijuana transporting it from Doguwa town to Kafau, Doguwa local government area of Kano State. The arrest was made at Riruwai gate in the above mentioned local government.
Preliminary investigations have been concluded by the corps, and in the spirit of synergy and collaboration, we are today handing over the suspected drug dealer as well as the other two suspects along with the exhibits to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano State command for further investigations and necessary legal action.
In conclusion, I would like to use this opportunity to reiterate our commitment and resolve that the NSCDC under my watch in Kano will always ensure total protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure and as well continue to collaborate with all the sister security agencies in the state to decimating the evil intention of criminals wherever they might be in Kano.
The Command thanks the Media personalities and general publics for their usual support and cooperation,
