The Management of Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital wishes to inform the general public of the temporary closure of the Obstetrics & Gynecology (O&G) Unit and the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) effective 1st October, 2025 due to ongoing renovation works aimed at improving service delivery in a Press Statement issued by the Spokesperson of the State Hospitals Management Board,Samira Sulaiman and sent to thetaclesnews.com.ng
During this period:-
- Maternity services have been relocated to Imam Wali Maternity Hospital at 3rd gate redbricks.
- Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) services have been moved to Khalifa Sheikh Isyaka Rabiu Hospital at Zoo Road.
It is worthy to note that the service providers for these specialized cases have moved to the above listed facilities to ensure continuity of services
The announcement assured the general publics that all other services at Muhammad Abduahi Wase Teaching Hospital remain fully operational.
Further more the Management of the Teaching Hospital regratably and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this temporary adjustment may cause and deeply appreciate the understanding by the publics as they assured speedy work to enhance their facilities in accordance with global best practice of Health Care Services for effective healthcare delivery.
