The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Alhaji Nasiru Isah Dikko (Jarma), has DONATED educational materials to over 250 orphans across in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.
The gesture aligns with the Governor’s agenda of supporting education and assisting vulnerable communities in the state in a statement issued by Adamu Iliyasu Hororo, Information Officer of the Area to thetentaclesnews.com.ng
Donated items includes textbooks and writing materials, aimed at encouraging Pupils and Students to access education and to boost the morale of the orphans to continue their studies with renewed motivation.
Speaking during the distribution of education materials,Alhaji Nasiru Isah Dikko stated that the initiative was part of his personal commitment towards supporting the underprivileged, especially orphans, within the Area
He emphasized the importance of education in empowering and helping the children to navigate life successfully, adding that we carried out this intervention so that orphans can feel supported and motivated. Education as a vital tool for life and it is our duty to ensure these children have equal opportunities,” he said.
Jarma further revealed plans to expand such humanitarian gesture to other sectors, especially healthcare, youth and women empowerment through skills acquisition and small business support,the goal, he said, is to build a self-reliant and productive society.
Alhaji Nasiru Isah Dikko also expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other supporters for their continued cooperation and encouragement, which have enabled him to carry out his responsibilities effectively.
The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed joy and appreciation for the timely support, describing it as a great encouragement in their educational journey.
