Tarauni, Flags Off Immunization Campaign Against Polio, Measles, and Cervical Cancer.

The Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad, has officially flagged off a major immunization campaign against three life-threatening diseases: polio, measles, and cervical cancer. The event took place at Unguwa Uku Hospital within the local government area.

According to the information Officer in the area Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro in a Press Released issued to thetentwclesnews.com.ng said the Chairman was represented at the event by his vice Khalid Ayuba, who explained that the immunization campaign will run for twelve (12) days, during which vaccination teams will cover every street and community across Tarauni LG to ensure maximum reach and participation.

Khalid Ayuba emphasized the Vaccination is the most effective method of preventing the spread of diseases. Khalid Ayuba said that this campaign presents a vital opportunity for our communities especially children under two years, newborns, and women to protect themselves against these dangerous illnesses.

Speaking at the event, the Head of Health Department for Tarauni LG Alhaji Muktar Datti Gwarzo, and the Health Education Officer, Musa Abdullahi Shamakawa, urged parents, community leaders, and stakeholders to give their full support to the program to ensure its success.

The Councilor for Health, Amir Abdullahi Kima, commended development partners such as WHO, UNICEF,RED CROSS ,healthcare workers, and other stakeholders for their dedication and continued support toward improving the health and wellbeing of people in Tarauni LG.
