Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone One Headquarters, Kano, AIG Ahmed Garba, warmly received Mr. Juan Antonio, the North West leader of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, to his office.
The visit underscored the strong partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and international organizations in promoting safety and security in the region according to the Spokesperson of the Zone One Bashir Muhammad which was made available to thetentaclesnews.com.ng
During the visit Mr. Antonio briefed AIG Garba on the humanitarian work, safety and security initiatives undertaken by the United Nations in North West Nigeria expressing appreciation in respect of the police’s efforts in maintaining peace and security in Kano and Jigawa states, which has created a conducive environment for the organization’s activities.
AIG Garba assured Mr. Antonio of the police’s continued support and cooperation, promising to provide protection for their offices and personnel escorts as needed. He emphasized that his doors are always open for collaboration and partnership with the United Nations Department of Safety and Security.
The Nigeria Police Force, Zone One Headquarters, Kano, remains committed to working with international partners to promote safety, security, and humanitarian activities in the region.
