The Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government, Amb. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye) led a stakeholders’ meeting to gather inputs for the preparation of the 2026 budget.
The event which was attended by the representative of the Kano State Ministry of Local Governments, Alhaji Sani Abdu Gaya, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, the District Head of Nassarawa, Alhaji Kabiru Tijjani Hashim, as well as community leaders, ward heads, and religious leaders in a statement issued by the Information Officer of Nasarawa Local Government Sharif Zaharaddeen Usman Kofar Nasarawa and delivered to thetentacles news.com.ng
In his remarks, the Chairman urged the public to collaborate closely with their elected councilors to identify and prioritize development projects that they want it to be implemented in their communities in the upcoming year. He also commended the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his continuous efforts to bring meaningful development and projects to the grassroots.Amb.Yusuf made a special call to the eligible voters to promptly update their voter registration cards to ensure their participation in upcoming elections.
Alhaji Sani Abdu Gaya, representing the Ministry of Local Governments, praised the well-organized nature of the meeting and encouraged the communities to come up with their demands within next two weeks to submit detailed project proposals for local development.
The Director Personnel management for the Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, and Head of Planning, Alhaji Suleman Wada, also urged community members to filtered positive suggestions and recommendations concerning matters affecting their welfare, alongside prayers for the successful implementation of the budget, which remains an estimate subject to adjustments.
Those in attendance include the Administration Secretary, Ado Muhammad Hotoro, the Councilors’ leader, Aliyu Musa Jibo, traditional leaders, elected Councilors, Government officials, civil society representatives, and members of the public.
