The Kano State Government reaffirmed its commitments to the welfare and professional development of the State Counsels as preparations intensify for their participation in the forthcoming Annual Conference.
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Haruna Isa Dederi, gave the assurance on Sunday while addressing concerns over the timely release of conference allowances for State Counsel this was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry Najib Lawan Dambazau and made available to thetentaclesnews.com.ng
According to him, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration places high priority on the welfare of legal officers, recognizing their key roles in advancing justice administration and strengthening good governance across the state.
Barr. Dederi disclosed that, following consultations with the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim which resulted in to mutual treatment of State Counsels with financial Institutions to enable them depart for the Conference in soonest.
This, he said would make it easier for our Counsels to have a very good and conducive atmosphere for full participation and engagements during the Conference.Affirming that “The welfare and professional growth of our Counsel remain a top priority for this administration,” adding that “By ensuring the timely settlement of their conference entitlements, the Government is not only fulfilling its promises but also showing appreciation for their contributions to justice delivery and good governance in Kano State.
Dederi ,further commended the proactive steps taken by relevant government officials to resolve the issue, describing the move as a reflection of the administration’s deep concern in upholding commitments made to its workforce.
The Attorney General expressed optimism that the exposure and deliberations at the Annual Conference would enrich the professional capacity of State Counsels, equipping them with new insights for better service delivery to the people of Kano.On behalf of the Government, Barr. Dederi wished all participating Counsels fruitful deliberations and a successful outing at the conference, urging them to use the platform to strengthen their expertise and expand their professional networks.
