Kazaure Area Command of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency had staged a road show to commemorate the United Nation day against Drugs Abuse and illicit trafficking, which is among the week long program.
The road show which was organized by the Kazaure Area Command and was attended by security outfits,Youth Associations, Labour Unions, Students and many more to further take the messages to parents, guardians and all the relevant stakeholders in the Area towards making the Area a drug free society to the general publics of Kazaure, Roni,Gwuiwa and Yankwashi local government areas.
The road show was characterized by orderly procession to the Emir’s Palace and other strategic locations in Kazaure township just to enlighten the general publics on the dangers associated with Drugs Abuse and illicit trafficking.
The Area Commander of the Zone, Gambo Shehu reiterated the Command stand on robust enlightenment campaigns to change the narratives especially among youth who are the future leaders.
Alhaji Gambo Shehu further stressed that “The Youth must stand up and be peace ambassadors by rejecting and saying no to illicit drugs and other kinds of immoral practices that may jeopardize their lives in the future, reminding them that in the coming decades they’re the leaders in the society.
He strongly sends warning signals to youth in Kazaure Zone to heavily invest their times in Knowledge and skills acquisitions as panacea to their overall developments.
The Area Commander, further steps down the messages of the State Commander to the Youth to be highly responsible and report any suspicious drugs abuse movement to the nearby Offices of the NDLEA for prompt actions.
The State Commander, further thanks His Royal Highness,the Emir of Kazaure Dr Najib Hussaini Adamu and the District Heads as well as the Council Chairman of Kazaure for their utmost concern to the services of the Area Command and at the same time commended the Youth in Kazaure for their cooperative hands to the Area Command on its efforts towards making Kazaure Zone a Drugs free Area.
Most of the Youth interviewed showed appreciations to the Area Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency for their uprightness in addressing the menaces of illicit drugs movement, stressing that they understand that the Area Command is at red alert and are always on patrol, praising the proactive nature of the Area Commander Gambo Shehu at all the times.
The Youth also commended Hafed poly Radio in Kazaure for timely Public Campaign on the dangers of drugs abuse and illicit trafficking.
The road show ends up at the Command office with full assurance by the Area Commander of collaborative approaches with all the relevant stakeholders in making Kazaure a role model and face setter as Drug free zone.
