The zonal Quranic recitation competition across the students of nine local government Areas has been inaugurated in Dambatta.
The competition comprised the winners at local level of the competition drawn from Bichi, Tsanyawa, Dambatta, Makoda, Minjibir, Gezawa, Dawakin Tofa,Gabasawa and Ghari local governments.
Speaking at the occasion, the Council Chairman of Dambatta Alhaji Jamilu Abubakar thanked the facilitators for their dedication towards the successful conduct of the zonal competition.
The chief Judge of the competition,Dr. Isah Sulaiman said, this year’s competition is quite different from the previous ones and urged candidates to work hard for a remarkable result.
In his remark, the Local Education Secretary, Auwalu Abdulhamid Dambatta said the zonal competition was aimed to encourage students in the recitation of the holy Qur’an at zonal level while winners will contest at the state level
